Purpose
The Mountaineers Leadership Collective empowers student-athletes to serve as role models, advocates, and connectors within the Mohawk College community. As representatives of their respective teams, members act as liaisons between the student-athlete body and the Mohawk College Department of Athletics and Recreation - fostering communication, collaboration, and inclusion. Through leadership, service, and engagement, the M.L.C. is committed to building a strong, united student-athlete community that extends beyond campus and contributes positively to the broader community.
2026-2027 M.L.C. Goal
In 2026/27, the Mountaineers Leadership Collective is committed to fostering an inclusive, connected, and engaged student-athlete community by strengthening relationships across teams, with the broader student body, and throughout the local community. Our goal is to create meaningful opportunities for collaboration and belonging by strengthening connections between athletes, staff, and campus peers, while encouraging connection among diverse student-athlete experiences. Through interactive, community-focused initiatives, we aim to make a lasting impact, elevate the presence of Mohawk College Athletics, and build a culture rooted in unity, leadership, and shared purpose.
