Mohawk College

Background:
Brad McClure was named the 16^th head coach in Mohawk men's volleyball history. 

Previously, McClure worked as an assistant coach for the Western Mustangs women's team and at Fanshawe College with the men's program. With the Falcons, McClure was part of two OCAA bronze medal teams. Prior to joining Mohawk, McClure spent the 2016-17 season with the Conestoga Condors women's team as a a head coach.

Early in his coaching career McClure trained almost exclusively on the women's side but after claiming a silver medal with Team Ontario at the 2017 Canada Games, he ventured into the men's side. The Hamilton native has played a pivotal role on the beach side with the Ontario Volleyball Association for numerous years where he's held several different coaching duties from the U16 level all the way up to U22.

At Mohawk:

2021-22 Season: 
McClure's first season with Mohawk was a shortened OCAA campaign, but showcased a bright future for the program. The team got off to a 3-0 start and concluded the season 6-3, advancing as far as the OCAA quarterfinals.

2022-23 Season:
Season two was the first time McClure guided the Mountaineers to a medal opportunity. Despite only finishing 10-8 in the regular season, Mohawk won its first two playoff matches, including a quarter-final road win over the Georgian Grizzlies. The Mountaineers chances at provincial gold ended in the semi-finals and they would lose a close four set match versus the Cambrian Golden Shield in the bronze medal match.

2023-24 Season:
Mohawk had eight new faces to their roster for the 2023-24 campaign, which was the start of a new era. The team saw a step back in its overall record and was eliminated in the opening round of the OCAA playoffs.

2024-25 Season:
It was an up and down year for the Mountaineers, who got to the OCAA quarter-final round for the third time in four seasons under McClure. They were eliminated by the eventual OCAA silver medal winning Cambrian Shield.
