Mountaineers lose road contest to Condors

KITCHENER – Mohawk Mountaineers women's volleyball lost 3-0 (22-25, 11-25, 14-25) on the road to the Conestoga Condors.
 
It was an evenly matched first set with Mohawk falling by three points. Things became one-sided in the next two sets as the Mountaineers could not recover to find momentum.
 
Mohawk has now lost three straight as their record drops to 8-7.
 
Lexie Zicari (Burlington, ON) had a team-leading 10 kills, while Stephanie Karatsolias (Milton, ON) finished with 18 assists and eight digs.
 
The Mountaineers will play a rare Sunday match on Jan. 28 when they are hosted by the Sheridan Bruins. Match will begin at 1 p.m.
