Mountaineers draw No. 11 Royals to conclude regular season

ANCASTER, Ont. – The Mohawk Mountaineers women's soccer team ended regular season play with a 0-0 draw versus the No. 11 nationally ranked Redeemer Royals.
 
It was a career match for fourth-year goalkeeper Samantha DeHaan (Smithville, Ont.), who made a career-best 11 saves in the clean sheet.
 
The Mountaineers were outshot for the match 18-10 and the Royals also had the corner kick advantage of 7-1.
 
Jaiden Morgan (Burlington, Ont.) led Mohawk with two shots on goal.
 
The Mountaineers end the season with a 4-4-2 record and place fifth in the OCAA west division.
 
Mohawk will matchup versus the Conestoga Condors in the opening round of playoffs on Oct. 15 in Cambridge, Ont. Time of the match is still to be determined.
