Mountaineers first half struggles lead to loss to Condors

HAMILTON, Ont. – Mohawk Mountaineers women's soccer dropped their second straight match, falling to the Conestoga Condors 2-1.
 
The Condors socred both their goals in the first half with the first coming 10 minutes into the first half. Then near the final minutes of the half, Conestoga was awarded a penalty kick, extending their lead to 2-0.
 
Early in the second half the Mountaineers answered back when Bernarda Torres (Burlington, Ont.) assisted a Jaiden Morgan (Burlington, Ont.) goal.
 
Mohawk was unable to score an equalizer after the Morgan goal, falling short in the match to Conestoga.
 
The Mountaineers fall to 1-2 on the season as they look ahead to a matchup versus the Niagara Knights on Sept. 18 at Tim Hortons Field. Kick-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
