Snider’s career game leads to Mountaineers victory to start 2024

SARNIA, Ont. – In her fourth-season playing for Mohawk Mountaineers women's soccer team, Lauren Snider scored both her first and second career goals, leading the Mountaineers to a 3-0 victory.
 
Snider (Brantford, Ont.) playing left back for Mohawk doesn't often get many scoring chances. Her first goal came in the 17th minute of the game and was assisted by Janelle Lammers (Frankford, Ont.). Snider would then net another in the 49th minute with an assist provided by Emily Schwarz (Stoney Creek, Ont.)
 
New addition Grace McLellan (Burlington, Ont.) made her presence known, scoring in her first game with Mohawk in the 78th minute.
 
Mia Hadley (Milton, Ont.) was in net for the Mountaineers and made three stops for the clean sheet win.
 
Mohawk will look to continue their early success on Sept. 8 as they head to Windsor, Ont. to play the St. Clair Saints. The match is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
