Mountaineers handed loss by No. 5 Condors on senior night

Mohawk celebrates career of Oliver Steinke

(HAMILTON) – Mohawk Mountaineers men's soccer celebrated the career of graduating student-athlete Oliver Steinke prior to their match versus the No. 5 nationally ranked Conestoga Condors.
 
Steinke (Dundas, ON) has been the starting goalkeeper for the Mountaineers for the last three seasons, and currently sits second in Mohawk history for clean sheets and total saves.
 
On the pitch the Mountaineers lost to the Condors 2-0 after allowing goals in the 66th and 90th minutes.
 
This was the final home game of the 2023 season for Mohawk, who will close the season out on the road on Oct. 13 when they play the Niagara Knights at 8 p.m.
 
The Mountaineers will then play a road playoff game on Oct. 18 with the opponent still to be determined.
