Jacob’s career-high 23 leads Mountaineers to win

Mohawk extends win streak to four

(ANCASTER) – An offense on the back of Angong Jacob's helped guide Mohawk Mountaineers women's basketball to an 81-64 win versus the Redeemer Royals.
 
Jacob (Calgary, AB) scored nine of her career-high 23-points in the first quarter to give the Mountaineers a 15-12 lead.
 
Mohawk would go on to outscore Redeemer in all four quarters. The fourth was the Mountaineers best as they exploded for 30-points to extend their lead and hold on for the win.
 
As a team Mohawk scored 27 points off 29 turnovers. They also held the Royals to 38.9 per cent shooting.
 
Along with Jacob's offense, the Mountaineers received 14-points and six rebounds off the bench from Tatjana Boskovic (Hamilton, ON). Skyla Minaker (Sarnia, ON) added a near double-double with 12-points and nine steals.
 
Mohawk will remain on the road for their next matchup as they'll travel to London, ON to play the Fanshawe Falcons on Nov. 22 at 6 p.m.
