Mountaineers lose on the road to Hawks

Mohawk lose three-set match

(ETOBICOKE) – Mohawk Mountaineers men's volleyball lost 3-0 (16-25, 16-25, 23-25) to the Humber Hawks.
 
All three sets were close between the two teams, but Mohawk struggled to find consecutive points when needed most.
 
The Mountaineers best opportunity to win a set came in the third. Matching Humber point-for-point, Mohawk just could not find the extra gear to extend the match into the fourth set.
 
Alex Jurak (St. Catharines, ON) was a big factor for the Mountaineers with a career-high 15 kills. It is the second straight match Jurak has set a new career-high for kills.
 
Mohawk is back on the road for their next match on Nov. 14 when they play the Fanshawe Falcons at 8 p.m.
