HAMILTON, Ont. – Mohawk Mountaineers women's basketball pulled out a one-point victory in their 2024-25 home opener, defeating the Fanshawe Falcons 74-73.

The Falcons jumped out to a 4-0 lead, but the Mountaineers responded quickly with an 8-0 run to take advantage early in the game. Mohawk held the lead for a majority of the game but late in the fourth Fanshawe knocked down three straight threes to tie it up 72-72.
