PLAYOFF PREVIEW: Mountaineers hit the road for opening round playoff match

Mohawk looks to upset OCAA East two seed

HAMILTON – Mohawk Mountaineers men's volleyball enter OCAA playoff action as an underdog. The seventh seed out of the OCAA West, Mohawk will visit the OCAA East two seeded Centennial Colts.

The Matchup:

The Mountaineers, who finished the regular season with a 7-11 record, are coming off a 3-0 loss to the Humber Hawks. Despite the defeat, Mohawk played two competitive second and third sets. The Mountaineers also have a win this season versus the No. 14 nationally ranked Fanshawe Falcons.

Centennial finished the season 14-4, with their two of their four loses coming against the best team in the east, the Georgian Grizzlies. None of the Colts 14 wins went five sets as they accomplished their victories in four sets or less.

Previous Matchup and History:

There are no recent playoff matchups between the Mountaineers and Colts dating back to the mid-1990s.
