Seven Mountaineers earn CCAA Academic All-Canadian award

HAMILTON, Ont. – Seven Mohawk Mountaineers student-athletes have been named recipients of the 2025-26 Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Academic All-Canadian award.

The CCAA Academic All-Canadian honour recognizes student-athletes who have demonstrated exceptional achievement in both academics and athletics throughout the collegiate season. This year, 299 student-athletes from across Canada earned the distinction.

Among Mohawk's seven recipients are Maddie Anderson (women's basketball) and Marko Dosen (men's basketball). They become the first Mountaineers to earn both CCAA Academic All-Canadian and CCAA All-Canadian honours in the same season since Aminu Bello accomplished the feat in 2011-12. It marks the ninth time in program history a Mountaineer has received both honours in the same season and the first time since 2006-07 that two Mountaineers have achieved the distinction in the same year.
