HAMILTON, Ont. – The Mohawk Mountaineers women's volleyball team saw their home opener spoiled Saturday night, falling 3-2 to the Redeemer Royals.

Mohawk carried that momentum into the fourth, earning a 25-19 win to force a decisive fifth set.
After a 2-2 start in the final frame, Redeemer surged ahead with six unanswered points and held firm, taking the set 15-6 and sealing the victory.
The Mountaineers will now have a week and a half off before returning to action on Oct. 29, when they host the Sheridan Bruins at the David Braley Athletic and Recreation Centre. First serve is set for 6 p.m.
