In the fourth quarter, the Mountaineers held a 15-point lead early, but the Falcons found their offensive stride. An 18-2 run by Fanshawe gave them a 53-52 lead with 2:25 remaining. With three seconds on the clock, Fanshawe knocked down a three-pointer to tie it 58-58 and send the game to overtime.

The Mountaineers held a brief 61-58 lead with 3:48 left in the extra frame, but the Falcons would score 10 of the next 12 points to steal the win.

Jacob finished the contest with 23 points, while Kendra Oliver (Ajax, Ont.) added her 11th double-double of the season with 14 points and 19 rebounds.

Mohawk will now begin preparations for the OCAA playoffs as they will host a qualifying round game on February 15 at the David Braley Athletic and Recreation Centre. The game will tip-off at 1 p.m., but the Mountaineers opponent is still to be determined.
