Mountaineers cross country competes in 2025 PGXC Race in Rochester

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Mohawk Mountaineers men's cross country team placed third overall at the 2025 PGXC Race on Sunday.

Blaise Uglow (Schomeberg, Ont.) led the way for Mohawk with a third-place finish. Sage Sulentic (Dundas, Ont.) was 13^th, Santiago Mendoza (Mississauga, Ont.) 22^nd, Thomas Giammichle (Carlisle, Ont.) 32^nd, Bart Podhorski-Okolow (Oakville, Ont.) 39^th and Will Summers (Hamilton, Ont.) 48^th.

On the women's side, Raina Hartnell (Wateford, Ont.) and Addison Cann (Paris, Ont.) turned in strong performances.

The PGXC Race was added to Mohawk's schedule after the Seneca Invitational was postponed due to the ongoing college full-time support staff strike.

The Mountaineers return to action Sept. 27 in Waterloo, Ont., at the Don Mills Open hosted by the Waterloo Warriors.
