LONDON, Ont. – The Mohawk Mountaineers men's volleyball team closed the 2025-26 regular season with a straight-sets loss Saturday, falling 3-0 to the Fanshawe Falcons.
Mohawk trailed 10-7 early in the opening set and saw the deficit grow to seven as Fanshawe pulled away for a 25-14 win.
In the second set, the Falcons jumped out to a 10-5 lead. The Mountaineers again fell behind by as many as seven and dropped the set 25-16.
The third set followed a similar pattern, with Mohawk trailing early and unable to close the gap. Fanshawe completed the sweep with a 25-15 victory.
Josh Taylor (Hamilton, Ont.) led the Mountaineers with six kills.
Mohawk finishes the regular season 9-7 and is expected to enter the OCAA playoffs as the fifth seed in the West Division. The Mountaineers will travel to the East Division's fourth seed on Feb. 14 for an OCAA qualifying-round matchup.
