Second consecutive sweep to start the season for Mountaineers

Mohawk off to a 2-0 start to the new season

Box Score (HAMILTON) – The 2023-24 season is off to a perfect start for Mohawk Mountaineers women's volleyball. Mohawk picked up their second win in as many matches with a 3-0 (25-10, 25-15, 25-15) victory over the Boréal Vipères.

The Mountaineers controlled the match throughout with 13 athletes seeing the floor.

Lexie Zicari (Burlington, ON) led the way with eight kills, four aces and seven digs in two sets played. Melissa Meyer (Burlington, ON) added seven kills in her OCAA debut.

Chelsea Vanderwal (Waterdown, ON) impressed for the second consecutive match with 21 assists.

Mohawk will hit the road for their next match in Windsor, ON when they play the St. Clair Saints at 8 p.m. on Oct. 27.
