Mohawk Mountaineers announce 2023 Hall of Fame Class

Eight former Mountaineers to be inducted; one team to be inducted

(HAMILTON) – The Mohawk College Department of Athletics and Recreation is excited to announce its Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2023. The inductees will include four athletes, one coach, three builders and one team.
 
The 2023 Hall of Fame Class will be inducted during a ceremony on Saturday, December 2 being held inside the old gymnasium at Mohawk College's Fennell Campus.

"We are pleased to honour this exceptional Hall of Fame Class who each achieved outstanding accolades while representing Mohawk Mountaineers Athletics," said Matthew Ferreira, Director of Athletics and Recreation. "The ceremony will be an exciting time to celebrate each individual for their prestigious time with Mohawk and etch their names forever in Mountaineers history."
 
The week prior to the ceremony the Mountaineers will share brief biographies of each individual and team, featuring their successes during their time at Mohawk.
 
The ceremony being held on Dec. 2 will also include the celebration of the Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2020, who were unable to receive a ceremony due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2020 Class included Manny Campbell (Men's Basketball), James Cumpson (Men's Rugby), Shannon Glover (Women's Softball), Steven Johnston (Men's Rugby) and the 1989-1990 Men's Soccer Team.
