Mountaineers handed three set loss by No. 8 Saints

Mohawk struggles with consistency in match versus St. Clair

Box Score HAMILTON – Mohawk Mountaineers women's volleyball could not solve the No. 8 nationally ranked St. Clair Saints, losing 3-0 (14-25, 17-25, 20-25).

The Mountaineers struggled to keep up with the Saints in the first two sets, but began to find momentum in the third set. Mohawk trailed 21-18 in the third set but could not muster the comeback.

Lexie Zicari (Burlington, ON) led the Mountaineers with eight kills and nine digs. Sofia Spoljar (Hamilton, ON) supplied seven kills and eight digs.

Mohawk will prepare for their next match on Jan. 24 when they host the Conestoga Condors at the DBARC for a 6 p.m. start.
