Mountaineers to celebrate Cathedral Women’s Basketball team

HAMILTON – On Wednesday, January 10, the Mohawk Mountaineers women's basketball game will feature a special tribute to the Cathedral High School women's basketball team as they celebrate their third straight OFSAA AAA win and its monumental 90-0 record through three consecutive undefeated seasons.

Come out to support the Mountaineers women's and men's basketball teams on Wednesday as they take on the Sheridan Bruins. The women's team will aim to extend their eight-game win streak, defend their first place standing in the OCAA West Division, their No. 2 provincial ranking and No. 10 national ranking.

On the men's side, the Mountaineers currently host a 7-3 record, sit second in the OCAA West Division, and are No. 4 provincially ranked and No. 15 nationally ranked.

You don't want to miss this special night. Wear your Mohawk colours and come out to celebrate our incredible Mountaineers as they honour the next generation of collegiate athletes.

Mountaineers gear will also be available for purchase at the David Braley Athletic and Recreation Centre front desk.
