Men’s Soccer drop opening match in Indiana

NOTRE DAME, INDIANA – Mohawk Mountaineers men's soccer began their Indiana non-conference trip with a 6-2 loss to the Holy Cross Saints.

The Saints opened the scoring in the 32^nd minute of the first half and would add one more before the break.

After Holy Cross increased their lead to three to begin the second half, Emidio Refosco (Hamilton, Ont.) would get the Mountaineers on the board in the 60^th minute. Refosco would score Mohawk's second goal as well, coming in the 80^th minute.

Entering his second season with the Mountaineers, Refosco had two goals during the 2023 campaign.

Despite a tough start in Indiana, Mohawk will look to end their trip on a positive note on Friday (Aug. 16) when they play the Goshen Maple Leafs at 1:30 p.m.
