Box Score HAMILTON, Ont. – The Mohawk Mountaineers women's soccer team dropped their final home match of the 2025 season, falling 1-0 to the Sheridan Bruins on Wednesday.
Sheridan struck early, scoring in the second minute when a corner kick was headed into the net.
Mohawk outshot the Bruins 8-4 and generated several quality chances but couldn't find the equalizer. In second half stoppage time, the Mountaineers appeared to score when Hannah Kelly (Niagara Falls, Ont.) put the ball in the net, but the goal was waved off after she was called for a handball.
Mohawk will close out the regular season with two road games, beginning Oct. 4 against the St. Clair Saints in Windsor, Ont. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
