Mountaineers get first win of the season; defeat Boreal 3-0

Mohawk men’s volleyball pickup their first win with a clean sweep

Box Score (HAMILTON) – Mohawk Mountaineers men's volleyball defeated the Boréal Vipères 3-0 (25-21, 25-13, 25-17) for their first win of the 2023-24 campaign.

The Vipères came out strong in the first set, but the Mountaineers settled in to carry momentum through a three-set victory.

Dean Zicari (Burlington, ON) had nine kills to lead Mohawk and Jashae Lawrence (Calgary, AB) came off the bench in his first OCAA action for seven kills.

Radmehr Boulhassani (Tehran, Iran) started as the Mountaineers setter and had 28 assists in the match.

Up next for Mohawk is a match on the road versus the St. Clair Saints on Oct. 28. Game time is 6 p.m.
