Mohawk locks into seventh seed ahead of OCAA playoffs

Box Score HAMILTON – It is guaranteed that Mohawk Mountaineers men's volleyball will be the seventh seed in the OCAA West when playoffs begin next weekend. Mohawk lost 3-0 (18-25, 14-25, 23-25) to the Niagara Knights to bring their record to 7-10 with one remaining match.

The Knights had control throughout the match with the Mountaineers struggling to string together consecutive points.

Mohawk would lead for most of the third set, but Niagara began to chip away midway through and eventually completed the comeback for the sweep.

Alex Jurak (St. Catharines, ON) had a team-high seven kills.

The Mountaineers closeout the 2023-24 season on Feb. 3 when they host the Humber Hawks at 3 p.m.
