HAMILTON, Ont. – Marko Dosen (Hamilton, Ont.) has been recognized as an OCAA West Division Second-Team All-Star for the 2024-25 season.
Dosen is the sole Mohawk Mountaineer to receive an OCAA men's basketball year-end award this season.
The second-year forward played in 16 games, averaging 24.2 minutes per game, 14.8 points, 8.4 rebounds (8th in the OCAA), and 1.3 steals. His 53.6% field goal percentage ranked 11th in the OCAA. Dosen also recorded five double-doubles throughout the season.
Over the final seven games, Dosen upped his performance, averaging 18.6 points and 10.6 rebounds. On January 11, he set a career-high with 29 points on 12-of-17 shooting against the Niagara Knights.
Dosen's efforts helped the Mountaineers to an 11-7 record this season.
Mohawk advanced to the OCAA quarter-finals with a 95-81 victory over the Centennial Colts to open the playoffs. The Mountaineers' next challenge will be a road game against the No. 8 nationally ranked Durham Lords. The game is set for February 22 in Oshawa, Ont., at 5 p.m.
