Victoria pitcher commits to Mohawk Softball

HAMILTON, Ont. – Mohawk Mountaineers women's softball head coach Chris McColl has announced a second pitching recruit has committed to the program for the 2026 season. Joining Mohawk from Victoria, B.C. will be Abigail Blatchford.

Hometown: Victoria, B.C.
High School: Royal Bay Secondary School
Position: Pitcher
Program: Police Foundations
Club Team: Duncan Rockets (2016-2020) and Langford Lightning (2021-present)

Why did you choose to come to Mohawk?

"As soon as I walked on campus for the first time, I knew it was a great landing spot for me."

Favourite personal accomplishment:

"I was attending a showcase tournament in Las Vegas last fall where I was picked up by a local Las Vegas team to play for them."
