Box Score ANCASTER, Ont. – The Mohawk Mountaineers men's volleyball team couldn't find its rhythm on the road Wednesday night, falling 3-0 to the Redeemer Royals.
Both teams struggled from the service line in the opening set, keeping the score tight. Mohawk trailed by three midway through but briefly pulled ahead 21-20 before Redeemer closed out the set 25-23.
The Royals controlled the second set from start to finish, building an early lead that Mohawk couldn't overcome in a 25-16 loss.
In the third, the Mountaineers led 11-8 before Redeemer rallied to even the score. After a 14-14 tie, the Royals went on a run to go up by five. Mohawk cut the deficit to 22-20, but Redeemer regained control to seal the match with a 25-20 win.
The Mountaineers return to action Nov. 15 when they host the Fanshawe Falcons at 8 p.m.
