Al Craig brought a lifetime of professional excellence to Mohawk College when he joined the Mountaineers in 2003 as the sports information officer, instantly raising the standard of sports information and media coverage across the department. Already nationally recognized for his work in sports reporting and broadcasting, Craig used his remarkable talent, voice and storytelling ability to promote Mohawk teams and athletes with unmatched passion for 16 years.

Before arriving at Mohawk, Craig built a distinguished career that included serving as the longtime Hamilton Bulldogs broadcaster, spending more than two decades as sports director at CHML Radio Hamilton and helping establish the Hamilton Sports Hall of Fame as a founding director. His outstanding contributions to sport and media earned him induction into the Hamilton Sports Hall of Fame.

Through his dedication, professionalism and enthusiasm, Craig transformed the visibility of Mountaineer athletics in Ontario and beyond, leaving a legacy that continues to inspire.
