Recognized Locally, Provincially and Nationally as a Pioneer in Sports medicine, Dr. David Levy arrived on the Mohawk College Fennell campus in 1980. David’s vision was to treat Sports injuries more directly, through treatment and exercise, to rehabilitate our students so they could return to an active lifestyle and competition more quickly. For the next 33 years, Mohawk students benefitted from Dr. Levy’s innovative approach and the opportunity to be assessed and referred if needed, without leaving our campus! David never compromised on the best interests of our students, never allowing them to return to play until they were physically and emotionally ready. Many students were treated at David’s famous Physiotherapy clinic on King Street in Hamilton, where there were always World Class and Professional athletes in the same room. A consummate educator, Dr. Levy has welcomed over 300 Residents and Clinicians into his practice over the years, a highly sought after placement to learn from a master in Sports medicine.
