Chris VanSickle rewrote the record books during his remarkable tenure with the Mohawk men’s rugby program. One of the most prolific scorers in OCAA history, VanSickle led the league in scoring in both 2009-10 and 2010-11, earning back-to-back OCAA scoring champion honours. His dominant play in 2010-11 also earned him OCAA Rugby Player of the Year, OCAA League All-Star recognition and the title of Mohawk Athlete of the Year.

A dynamic and relentless competitor, VanSickle set program single-season records for converts and total points, and recorded the second-most tries in a season in Mohawk history. He remains the second all-time leading scorer in Mountaineers rugby history and ranks sixth in career points across the entire OCAA.

VanSickle’s offensive brilliance helped propel Mohawk to both OCAA gold and silver medal finishes, cementing his status as one of the most accomplished athletes ever to wear the Mountaineers jersey.
