In 13 seasons at the helm of the Mohawk men’s rugby program, Alex Paris built a legacy defined by consistent excellence, strategic leadership and championship-calibre performance. With a remarkable 60-26-2 overall record, Paris transformed the Mountaineers into a perennial OCAA contender, guiding the team to 10 playoff appearances and a 13-9 postseason record.

His coaching acumen earned him OCAA Men’s Rugby Coach of the Year honours four times (2006, 2008, 2009 and 2010), underscoring his ability to develop talent, sustain success and maximize team performance year after year. Under his leadership, Mohawk captured three OCAA gold medals, one silver and three bronze, firmly establishing the program among the province’s elite.

Beyond the statistics, Paris fostered a culture of hard work, accountability and pride. His influence extended well beyond the field, leaving a lasting impact on countless athletes and elevating the standard for men’s rugby at Mohawk College.
